Update on recruitment of Interim Chief Executive
A Special Meeting of Shetland Islands Council today agreed to offer the position of Interim Chief Executive to Alistair Buchan, Chief Executive of Orkney Islands Council.
Shetland Islands Council will now formally approach Orkney Islands Council to release Mr Buchan on a secondment.
A Special General meeting of Orkney Islands Council will be held on Monday 28 June 2010 to consider this request. Further comment will be made at that time.
