Dodge Ball at Tingwall
Tingwall Youth Club organised a Dodge ball competition between Tingwall, Scalloway and Whiteness Youth Clubs, on 29 November at the Tingwall Hall.
The young people practiced for a couple of weeks before the big night, going through the rules and tips on how to win.
Teams played 5 minute games with each team playing twice. After three rounds the scores were totalled and the winners were announced:
1st place – Whitness Youth Club
2nd place – Tingwall Youth Club
3rd place – Scalloway Youth Club
A small presentation was made at the end of the event. Youth Worker Ritchie Summers said
“I am really proud of everyone who took part in the competition, it was a brilliant night. The Tingwall Youth Club members looked fantastic with their Santa hats and faces painted; they are a really enthusiastic group of young people to work with. After a night like this you can see how important youth clubs are to the members and what they get out of it.”
