The project Wir Community, Wir Choice is a pilot of participatory budgeting funded by Scottish Government and Shetland Islands Council. The Staney Hill Community Association are leading the project to listen to what the community needs and help the development of projects which meet those needs. A voting day will be held in September when the community decides how the £20,000 will be spent.
Roger Goudie, Chair of the Staney Hill Community Association says:
