Outcome from Meeting of the Accounts Commission Regarding Report on Shetland Islands Council
The Accounts Commission met today to consider the report which Audit Scotland produced under Section 102 (1) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973. The Accounts Commission accepted the Report from Audit Scotland. The outcome of the meeting is that the Accounts Commission has decided to hold a Public Hearing in Shetland.
The Report and today’s findings will be considered at the Shetland Islands Council meeting on Wednesday 19 May 2010. The Council will make a formal comment, once Members have had a chance to fully debate the matter at the Council meeting.
