We offer the following for sale:

240 Litre Household Wheeled Bins

If you would like to opt-in to the household wheeled bin collection in Lerwick and Scalloway. Bins can be ordered from the Infrastructure Services office at Grantfield in Lerwick, or you can order you bin online, these will be delivered free of charge. Alternatively you can visit the Gremista Waste Management Facility and Recycling Centre to purchase and collect your wheeled bin.

Please note: Not every location will be suitable for wheeled bins, areas that already have a communal refuse store will not have their waste collected if presented in wheeled bins and If you have a wheeled bin you are entirely responsible for presenting it in a safe manner on collection day, and for it’s security and upkeep.

Refuse Bags

You can purchase extra boxes of black bags throughout the year from the Infrastructure Services office at Grantfield in Lerwick (01595744800), or you can order them online. These cost £9.70 for a roll of 50 bags (including VAT).

Stacking Recycling Bin

These opaque bins stack together whilst still enabling you to access each of them, saving space and allowing you to sort out your glass, cans and plastic bottles with ease. They are made from 90% recycled material and each bin has a 37 litre capacity, ideal for kerbside recycling bags.

Black Bag Container

Ideal for storing your full black bags and recycling sacks until collection day.  Supplied fitted with hasp for padlock with a 370 litre capacity.  Price - £140.25 (including VAT)

Shredded Paper Animal Bedding

Shredded paper animal bedding is available to the public from the Gremista Waste Management Facility . The cost is £1.00 (including VAT) for each bale weighing approximately 20 kg. This dust and allergen free bedding can be used along with or instead of straw, is highly absorbent, cost effective and provides good insulation.
