  • All groups should have a child protection policy and procedure
  • It is best practice for all staff and volunteers to attend child protection training

From April 2008, the Education & Social Care Department of Shetland Islands Council will require groups applying for financial assistance to ensure that they have policies and procedures in place to help ensure the safety of children. A template document is available here (151 Kb PDF file)
