Communication

The Council depends on effective communication with the public for all aspects of delivering services. We want to make sure we are hearing from everyone and our messages are also getting across. Much communication is done between individual members of staff and individual members of the public in there day to day work. Other communication is through letters, posters, leaflets or the media. In all cases we want to be as clear, courteous and accessible as possible and using the right methods.

Communicating electronically through the internet is an important and growing channel and one we are seeking to use effectively. Our overall principles for communication through this medium and all others are set out in the Communication Strategy and associated documents available from this page.
