| CHECK-IN TIMES; 0900 - 0930, 1600 - 1630, 2145 - 2215. Outwith these times, between 0900 and 2100 you may check in by contacting Reception in the Islesburgh Community Centre, across the road. | |
| Hostel opening hours are from 8.00am to 11.45pm daily, April to September | |
| Groups can also stay in the hostel outwith the season by prior arrangement. | |
| The Hostel has a total of 64 beds in dormitories and rooms ranging in size from a 2 person to a 12 person dormitory. Rooms may be available for exclusive use (additional charge) | |
| The ground and first floors of the hostel are fully accessible and very well equipped to cater for disabled users. | |
| Washing and drying machines are available in the hostel laundry. Washing powder is available to purchase from the Warden. | |
| Islesburgh House Hostel neighbours Islesburgh Community Centre. The Central Cafe can be found here, open 7 days a week. | |
| Onward booking at no charge is available from Islesburgh House Hostel through Hi-Hostels. Simply pay the warden the deposit to confirm your booking. |
Outwith the tourist season:
Islesburgh House has provided residential accommodation to groups for many years.
Between October and March groups can be accommodated given adequate notice. A minimum charge applies.

Outwith the tourist season, Islesburgh House is used as a community facility, creating attractive alternative accommodation for many community events, such as conferences, training courses and social activities.
The Hostel opens during Up-Helly-Aa for groups and individuals. Always the last Tuesday in January and the weekend preceding. Early booking is essential.
