Scottish FA logoScottish Football Association - Level 1 "Early Touches " Certificate

Venue: Clickimin South football pitch, Lerwick

Scottish FA development officer, Iain Scott, will be in Shetland on the above date to lead a "Early Touches” certificate course. This 6-hour course is aimed at coaches who work with children of primary school age in junior football clubs.

The majority of the course is practical in nature, with coaches themselves working on the themes being explained. Topics covered will include small sided games (e.g. 4v4, 7v7, Futsal) and games related activities such as:

  • Dribbling
  • Passing
  • Control
  • Heading
  • Shooting
  • Relays

Participants will also be provided with a DVD and booklet which will demonstrate many of the concepts and themes of the course.

The course has a large practical element and all participants should bring outdoor football kit. Full attendance at the course is necessary to complete the award.

The course fee will be £30.00 per person. A discounted rate of £14.00 is available for anyone who is a member of a Quality Mark registered club. For more details on the SFA Quality Mark scheme, please click here
