THE FUTURE OF CYCLING IN SHETLAND
Anyone interested in developing the sport of cycling in Shetland is invited to a public meeting on Wednesday 6th February, 6.30pm, at Islesburgh Community Centre.
The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss possible future cycling projects, such as:
- fun cycle races – eg. Sportives
- training sessions for novice cyclists
- other development events
Anyone with an interest in getting involved with cycling or helping with future projects is encouraged to come along. Members of the Shetland Wheelers Cycling Club will be present.
Wikipedia has a good background Cyclosportives here. More details on Sportives can also be found online at: www.cyclosport.org or www.ukcyclosportives.org.uk
