Fancy the trip of a lifetime?

Be part of one of the world’s greatest maritime adventures!

Lerwick Port Authority, Shetland Islands Council and The Swan Trust are pleased to be able to sponsor places for four young adults from Shetland between the ages of 18 and 25 to take part in the first leg of The Tall Ships’ Races 2008.

Boarding your vessel at Liverpool on Friday 18th July, you’ll take part in the two week race aboard the Norwegian fully-rigged Tall Ship, Christian Radich, arriving in Måløy in Norway on or around Friday 1st August. 

The cost of your passage and any other necessary travel, from Shetland to Liverpool and the return from Måløy, will be met.  All you have to provide is a personal contribution of £275 and your personal expenses for the trip.

The deadline for receipt of applications is
12 noon on Friday 16th May 2008.   Don’t miss the boat!

Applications received will be considered in May and applicants may be invited to attend a short interview and take part in a selection event.
