"Introduction to Coaching Table Tennis" course
Saturday 7th January 2012
10am - 4pm, Clickimin Centre, Lerwick
Paul Jackson, Director of Coaching with Table Tennis Scotland, will be in Shetland on the above date to lead a six-hour introductory course that is ideal for anyone wishing to teach table tennis to beginners, either juniors or adults.
Participants should have some basic bat and ball skills but no experience of table tennis is necessary. Please note the minimum age for the course is 16 years of age.
The course will cover the following
- Basic Strokes
- Fun games
- Scoring and umpiring
- Setting up practices
- Fundamental principles of UKCC coaching
- Rules and practice assessments
The cost of this course is £20.00 per person and an application form is available for download here (271 Kb, PDF). Please note the closing date for return of forms is Monday 12th December 2011.
This course is being run as a partnership between Shetland Table Tennis Association, Table Tennis Scotland and the Sport & Leisure Service of Shetland Islands Council.
