For adults who want to improve their basic skills.
Do you:
- Want to improve your reading and writing?
- Want a better job but worry your skills are out of date?
- Want to help your children?
- Lack confidence in your skills?
We are happy to discuss your personal learning needs, and give confidential information and guidance in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
Our trained volunteers teach learners either in small groups or one-to-one. Individual tuition would suit those who lack confidence, whilst groups help adults to learn communication skills and improve confidence.
- We can offer tuition in most parts of Shetland by using a network of local learning centres and public buildings such as village halls or leisure centres.
- We can also offer postal or on-line tuition to those in very remote areas.
Our service is FREE and can be arranged to fit in with your work or family commitments.
