Evening Classes provide opportunities to:
- Become more active
- Develop new skills and confidence
- Get back into learning
- Learn with others in your own community
- Achieve your goals
- Gain a qualification
The programme covers a wide range of classes, languages, arts, crafts, dance, cookery, writing, numbers, wellbeing, something for everyone.
The 2007/08 programme is now coming to an end and the 2008/09 programme is being developed. A draft programme will be posted online as soon as possible and the evening class booklet will be delivered to every household in Shetland in the first week of August. If you would like to suggest a class, become a tutor, or receive more information on the Evening Class programme please contact Adult Learning.
Fees & Enrolment
For the 2008/2009 Evening Class programme, the fees for classes offered by Adult Learning will be £1.75 per hour.
Based on a 10 week course running at two hours per week the cost would be £34.00 for a full paying adult.
Fees will vary depending on the duration of the course and must be paid prior to the course starting.
Concessions available are:
Over 60 or Under 18 - 50%
In receipt of certain benefits - Free
Registered Disabled - Free
Registered Unemployed - Free
