Learning Connections
is part of the Regeneration Division of Communities Scotland. It
is made up of two linked teams Adult Literacies and Community Learning.
The gateway for information and services to rural communities in Scotland.
Community Development Foundation
CDF has an active role in Scotland, where we operate in partnership with Glasgow University as the Scottish Community Development Centre (SCDC). We support community development practice and policy through a range of activities, focusing on Scottish issues and experiences, which are also used to inform work elsewhere in the UK and Europe.

"Good community development is an intervention that helps people to organise and respond to problems and needs which they share. It supports the establishment of strong communities which help improve the quality of life and the quality of government."
IatE is a partnership
programme involving communities in specific areas. These community
groups work, with the assistance of a designated Local Development
Officer, alongside a number of different agencies and local authorities.
Highlands and Islands Enterprise
The task of the Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) network is to unlock the potential of the Highlands and Islands and help create a strong, diverse and sustainable economy where quality of life is matched by quality of opportunity.
Careers Scotland offers services to People (including careers support and advice), as well as services to Employers (including assistance with vacancies and recruitment) and the Learning and Guidance Community (including teacher placements).
