Shetland South LSDG
Local Service Delivery Groups provide a basis for service planning at a community level.
The Shetland South LSDG has now moved into a new phase since the publication of its Shetland South Vision Report. A link to this report can be found below.
There is also a link to the Shetland South Community Profile. This document will be a useful resource for service providers and the wider community.
Three of the four Working Groups identified through the Shetland South Vision and tasked with taking forward actions arising from this exercise are now up and running. The first of these is the Shetland South Learning Partnership. This group is currently addressing issues around Learning, Health, Youth and Community. A second group are looking at Environment, Tourism, Heritage, Culture and Arts have taken action on recycling issues and are currently looking at developing a tourism group.. The third group to have met are addressing issues around Agriculture and Economic Development in Shetland South with a final group that will be addressing Housing, Planning, Roads, Transport and Communications to meet before the end of 2011.
