Stronger

The Government's Stronger strategic objective is to 'help local communities to flourish, becoming stronger, safer places to live, offering improved opportunities and a better quality of life'. Shetland Island's Council has THREE local strategic outcomes within the Stronger objective. These have been developed from the Scottish Government National Outcomes 10 & 11.

Stronger Local Outcomes

St.1 We will improve the availability, accessibility, affordability and usage of internal and external public transport.

St.2 We will ensure the right house is available in the right place at the right price.

St.3 We will sustain and, where necessary, grow number of childcare places, to meet identified need.
