Shetland Community Safety Partnership

Remit

The Community Safety Partnership is a multi-agency partnership working together with communities to reduce crime, the fear of crime, victimisation and antisocial behaviour, in order to protect and enhance the quality of life for those who live, work and visit the isles.

The remit of the Community Safety Partnership is to:

  • To have a joint commitment to community safety in Shetland
  • Oversee the development of the Community Safety Strategy 2005-2010
  • Monitor the implementation of the Action Plan

The work of the Community Safety Partnership is varied and diverse, encompassing all aspects of safety within the community.The Partnership’s Action Plan has been split into six key priority areas for the next 5 years (2005-2010):

  • Crime & The Fear Of Crime
  • Diversity
  • Young People
  • Antisocial Behaviour
  • Road Safety
  • Personal Safety
