Remit

The Ensuring Equal Opportunities Group (EEOG) was established to take forward the Community Planning Board goal to ensure equality of opportunity for all, by:

• Developing a culture which promotes and encourages fair service delivery;
• Building up trust between communities and agencies;
• Ensuring all policies and services in Shetland recognise and take account of the different needs of the population and actively promoting equality of opportunity in a consistent way across the voluntary, statutory and business sectors;
• Making Shetland an area where people can live without fear of discrimination or harassment"
