Welcome to the Community Office online
for the Shetland South, Fair Isle and Skerries areas
Our Community Office is based in the Sandwick JH School and access is gained via the main school office. We are open between 3.30 pm and 4.30 pm on week days and by appointment at all other times.

The Community Work Officer is Pat Christie. The area she covers in Shetland South includes Quarff down to Fair Isle. Pat also works in Skerries. Among her work Pat offers support to individuals, groups and organisations to help build the confidence and skills needed to fully participate in the wide range of aspects that affect their lives, work and community. |

The aim of Community Work is to build active and sustainable communities based on the principals of equality, co-operation and social justice. It is about consultation regarding the issues that are important to people and supporting them to develop manage and achieve effective change.
