Example: Searching for Consultation Reports If all consultation report datasets on the site were named like “Consultation Report for Whalsay 2004”, etc. then someone looking for Consultation Reports could use the site search facility to search on the phrase “consultation report”, this search would return all consultation reports on the datashare site (as the search would check all records dataset titles). The same theory would apply for searching for “community profiles” (i.e. they would all be named “Community Profiles for Burra 2004”, etc.)
Example: Searching by Community Planning “Priorities” Each dataset record on the datashare site can have a list of keywords and/or priorities listed with it, these are not displayed to users, but can be used to search for records on. It is intended that Community Planning priorities could be listed here (e.g. “Social Justice”, “Health Improvement”, “Equal Opportunities”) so that users searching for statistical information associated with one of these could enter the priority into the search and the correct results of the search be returned.
Care would need to be taken as a search for “Equalities” would not return results of the only keyword associated with it is “Equal Opportunities”, although a search for “Equal” or “Equ” would return “Equal Opportunities” records.
