Community Council - Housing Zone Amendments

During 2006/7 the Planning Service carried out a Review of the Local Plan Housing Zone Boundaries (policy LP HOU4). The maps displayed here have been subject to public consultation and were approved by Shetland Islands Council in Spring 2007. Subsequent to these arrangements a re-assessment of the Housing Zone Review was undertaken and Planning Board members were minded to rename the Revised Housing Zones as 'Community Council Housing Zone Amendments'. The Community Council Housing Zone Amendments will be taken into account and given some weight as a "material consideration" in the determination of an application for planning permission.
