Creative Links
The new Creative Links Officer, Noelle Henderson, has been recently put in to to develop the following:
- Lead in the development and implementation of an achievable and sustainable arts education strategy
- Create links between the arts and education in formal and informal settings
- Develop a range of learning opportunities to enhance the current level of arts activity
- Develop local, national and international networks of good practice
- Liase with Scottish Arts Council, Shetland Arts Trust, Youth Issues, Active Schools and other cultural, educational and external agencies to develop innovative and reflective work
- Negotiate with a range of public and private funding partners to implement the arts education strategy
- Advise and inform teachers and artists on partnership working
- Widen, sustain, organise and promote participation in dance and drama
- Endeavour to move the arts further up the educational agenda and link in with new curriculum guidelines
- Create communications strategy to allow information sharing on arts initiatives and priority areas and funding available
