Field Studies

Field Studies Service

Field Studies Advisor Harry Rose provides support for primary school science by delivering lessons to pupils that compliment ongoing topic work, as well as offering advice and support to teaching staff.
The Field Studies Service aims to promote in children a curiosity about and understanding of the environment and their place in the living, material and physical world.
This is achieved by helping children acquire a secure knowledge and understanding of the big ideas and concepts of the sciences, and developing their skills of scientific inquiry and investigation using practical techniques.
Using their growing knowledge and skills, children will increase their awareness and appreciation of the environment, and develop responsible attitudes towards it.
