School Meals / Clothing Grant

 

As from the 6 April 2007, pupils are eligible for free school meals if their parents or carers are in receipt of one of the following:

• You are entitled to free school meals and a clothing grant if you are in receipt of Income support
  
• Income - based Jobseekers Allowance
  
• Child Tax Credit and your income is less than £15,575 (level set April 2008)
  
• Support under part V1 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999

 

You are entitled to a clothing grant only if you get

• Working tax credit and are in possession of a NHS exemption form.

Please note that if you get working tax credit you are not eligible for free school meals.
