Homeless Strategy

The Scottish Executive has established homelessness as one of the key areas it wishes to tackle, aiming to improve the services provided by local authorities and other providers, with the aim of reducing the numbers of people who become homeless.

To achieve this the Executive requires all local authorities in partnership with other agencies, to produce homelessness strategies.

Shetland's Homeless Strategy was formally approved by the Scottish Executive in March 2004.
