The Shetland Islands Council (Housing) website exists in conjunction with the Housing Options Guide, a seperate housing website which is a housing information and advice resource hosted by the SIC. It was produced by a mutiagency group and is funded by Homepoint, Communities Scotland.

To navigate round the website, use the links in the right menu. For a quick 'easy to find' housing issue link, go to Housing Options - How to use this guide where you will find an A to Z of links to common Housing Issues. You can also use the Housing Website Map, which gives a basic overview of both websites.

The SIC Housing and Housing Options Guide websites have undergone extensive redevelopment in 2005-2006.

Additions to the SIC Housing website for the future hope to include:

• An Energy Advice Section
• An Interactive Housing Map featuring Council properties available for rent in Shetland

The Housing Offices at Fort Road and at Ladies Drive in Lerwick both have Public Access computers available for use for anyone who would like to look for Housing Information and Advice. You can download and complete the Public Access registration form from the bottom right menu on this page. Please hand it in at either the Fort Road or Ladies Drive office.
