Supporting People Strategy

Supporting People is a new initiative introduced by the Scottish Executive that alters the way in which organisations and tenants receive funding for housing support services. The scheme came into operation in April 2003 and the Council has been working with a number of local agencies, including the voluntary sector to ensure that funds are made available to tenants receiving housing support services in Shetland.
