Candidates named for Central Ward By-Election
The six candidates for the Shetland Central Electoral Ward have been named. They are:
- Stephen Morgan
- Clive Richardson – Scottish Conservative and Unionist
- Davie Sandison – Independent
- Ian Scott
- Scotty Van der Tol
- Robert Williamson – Independent
Voting to select a new Councillor for the Central Ward will take place on Thursday 15 December 2011 between 07.00 and 22.00.
Residents of the Central Ward are reminded to make sure that they are on the electoral register - if a person’s name does not appear on the Register of Electors, they are not eligible to vote. The deadline for registrations, to apply for a new postal vote or amend an existing postal vote, is Tuesday 29 November.
