Faroese set to dredge Scalloway Harbour
A delegation from Farose company Articon was in Shetland late last week to finalise details of the contract to dredge Scalloway Harbour. The team met Council Convener and Council officials at the Town Hall. Welcoming the start of dredging work, the Council’s Head of Capital Programming, Robert Sinclair said briefly: "We were very happy to welcome the Articon representatives to the Town Hall on Thursday. This is an important contract for Scalloway and, indeed, for the whole of Shetland. Increasing the depth to 8.5m is an important part in attracting new business to the harbour."
