Launch of The Roost at Shetland Library
The Shetland Library in Lerwick is hosting the launch of local author Neil Butler’s debut book The Roost on Thursday 1st September.
The Roost, which has been long-listed for The Guardian First Book Award, is a series of interlinked stories about the lives of young Shetlanders.
Chair of the Council’s Education and Families Committee, Betty Fullerton, said: “It is good to see another young Shetland author finding success, and for the Library to be supporting this kind of event”.
The event takes place on the Library mezzanine at 6.30pm and will include music and refreshments, as well as a reading and book signing by the author.
