Ports and Harbours to exhibit at All Energy event

The Harbour Board agreed last week that the Council’s Ports and Harbours will exhibit at the All Energy Event in Aberdeen in May this year

The exhibition is seen as the major UK event for all those interested in and dealing with renewable energy. In 2011 there were over 580 exhibitors from 20 countries with an estimated 8000 visitors for over 50 countries.

Executive Manager of Ports and Harbours, Roger Moore said:

“At last year’s event, the Shetland stand attracted a lot of visitors and we were able to make a number of important contacts. It is an ideal venue to meet prospective customer and developers and to promote Shetland as the place to do business.

“Shetland potentially offers excellent facilities for renewable energy, particularly marine renewables and I am looking forward to the opportunity to highlight these to a wider audience.”
