Seven celebrate care qualification success

Seven Community Care staff gained their (OU)Open University Managing in the Work Place qualification on Friday 24th August 2012.

Shetland Islands Council Community Care Training Manager, Gail Bray said: ‘This is the second successful group of staff who have undertaken the qualification.The qualification includes topics on strategy, the organisation, marketing , finance, leadership, management, motivation, monitoring and evaluation.Staff are now using their learning in the workplace to effectively manage services.’

The qualification meets the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) registration requirements for senior social care staff.
