Frank McAveety – Minister for Tourism, Culture and Sport
The Minister for Tourism, Culture and Sport, Mr Frank McAveety is visiting Shetland on 30 April and 1 May 2004.
During his visit he will be meeting with representatives of the three respective areas. Discussions will be held regarding the new museum and archives project, cultural strategy, music development and the proposal to have a cinema and music venue. He will be meeting with the directors and organisers of Island Games 2005 and also representatives of Shetland Islands Tourism. Further to this Mr McAveety will be performing the official opening of the new athletics track at the Clickimin Leisure Complex. A visit to the Burra Croft House has also been arranged.
