Social Work
At the meeting of Shetland Islands Council on 31 March, it was agreed to proceed with external recruitment of the Head of Social Work to fill the gap left when the previous post holder left the service. This recruitment will take place in the next two months and the Council is seeking an experienced Children and Familieis Practitioner to assist in the development of hte continual review of integrated children's services.
It was further agreed to revert to the Social Work title in light on national developments and the ongoing review of professional needs in this area.
