Follow-up to the Inspection of Standards and Quality in Uyeasound Primary School

A HM Inspection report on Uyeasound Primary School was published in June 2002.  HM Inspectors revisited the school in February 2004 to evaluate progress made in responding to the main points for action in the report.

HM Inspectors recognised that the school, with effective support from the education authority, had demonstrated significant improvement since the original inspection.  Attainment had improved considerably.  The hard work of the new Head Teacher in effecting change through building relationships with parents and pupils and teamwork among staff, was clearly recognised.

The school's future capacity to continue to improve is now clearly in place.

As a result HM Inspectors will make no further visits to the school in relation to the June 2002 report.
