Road Closure - A970 Fladdabister
Recent heavy rainfall causing a significant amount of subsidence at a culvert under the A970 at Fladdabister has necessitated closure of the northbound half of the carriageway.
A set of temporary traffic lights has been put in place to keep traffic off this section of road over the week-end, and a full road closure will be in place from 09:00 on Monday 29 th November to allow replacement of the culvert.
All traffic will be diverted through Fladdabister and a convoy system will be in operation during peak hours.
The closure will operate from 09:00 on Monday 29 th November for a period of 3 or 4 days until the works are complete.
The Council's Roads Service would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and will make every effort to keep delays to a minimum.
Motorists should allow extra time for their journey during the period of the closure.
