Shetland Agricultural Business Scheme
Shetland Islands Council is pleased to announce that a new agricultural scheme has received official approval from SEERAD. The Scheme will allow farmers and crofters to claim up to 3,000 euros of grant aid in any rolling 3 year period, under the EU de minimis regulation.
Included in the scheme are elements for lime, fertiliser, arable crops for winter fodder, and beef and dairy heifer rearing. Full details of the new Scheme will be sent by post to all those who were informed of the suspension of the old schemes in October 2005, and details will also be available upon request from the Council’s Economic Development Unit at the North Ness business park.
