August Grant Awards
The Grants Unit, which supports the work of the Sport and Leisure Service and Community Work Team, within the Education and Social Care Department, has awarded the following grants during the month of August - See appendix A.
Local voluntary organisations throughout Shetland have been awarded a total of £775,098 in grant assistance towards a range of capital and revenue projects.
The total cost of these projects is in excess of £1,045,657, with match funding of £270,559 being secured from both local and external sources. These projects that are managed by volunteers significantly improve the quality of life for all living in Shetland and support the local economy.
