Head of Children's Services
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Morgan to the post of Head of Children’s Services within the Education and Social Care Department.
Stephen has a wide range of knowledge having served the Social Care service in a number of roles for 10 years. The Head of Children's Services post will play an integral part in the new Education and Social Care structure in terms of integrating and delivering all aspects of Children's Services in Shetland.
The children and young people’s spokesperson, Councillor Bill Manson said, “this is an important appointment in the continuing integration of the public sector services to young people in Shetland. I wish Stephen well in his new job and look forward to an improving future for these services”.
Stephen will take up the Head of Children’s Services post on 1 August 2006
