New Assistant Chief Executive
The Council today approved a proposal by the Chief Executive to appoint an Assistant Chief Executive to assist with overall corporate management of the Council.
This will enable additional management resources to deal with the challenges ahead around the ongoing reform of public services specifically affecting the unique nature of the Shetland situation in the context of our community funds.
Willie Shannon currently the acting Head of Economic Development will be appointed to this position once a permanent appointment is made to the new position of General Manger of the Community Development Trust.
