December Grant Awards
The Grants Unit, which supports the work of the Sport and Leisure Service and Community Work Team, within the Education and Social Care Department, has awarded 11 grants during the month of December - See appendix A.
Local voluntary organisations throughout Shetland have been awarded a total of £6,644 in grant assistance towards a range of community projects and activities.
The total cost of these projects was in excess of £14,934, with match funding of £8,290 being secured from both local and external sources. These projects, which are managed by volunteers, significantly improve the quality of life for all living in Shetland and support the local economy.
