Interim Head of Community Economic Development
Neil Grant, presently General Manager of the Development Trust, will be seconded from his position with the Trust to be the interim Head of Community Economic Development as of 1st September 2006.
Neil will be responsible for line management of both the Council’s Economic Development Unit and Shetland Development Trust staff from that date.
Over the next period Neil will lead the management process required to integrate both bodies into the proposed Shetland Community Development Trust.
Willie Shannon, currently Acting Head of Economic Development will, as previously announced, take up his new position as Assistant Chief Executive at this time.
