New Residents Guide
An online guide for new residents moving to Shetland has been published on the Council website at www.shetland.gov.uk/newresidents/. The guide is designed to help people moving to Shetland to access services including transport, finance, housing and sport and leisure. The guide is available in 14 languages, from Bengali to Russian in order to make it easier for people moving to Shetland from other countries to access services in Shetland. The Council is also setting up a system of volunteer interpreters who could be available to help people who do not speak English to access Council services.
