If your assessment shows that your policy is likely to have an adverse impact on some groups, you will need to complete section 2 of the EQIA. This requires you to consider ways of dealing with adverse impacts.

If there are gaps in your previous or planned consultation or research you will need to consider how best to address this:

• Is additional consultation or research desireable to investigate the impacts of the proposal on diverse groups?
• Does this mean the collection of new primary data?
• Does this mean the further analysis of existing data?
• Are there any experts/relevant groups/members of the public that can be contacted to get further views or evidence on the issues?
