Cruising in Shetland - Out Skerries

A group of rocks and islands on the East coast of the Mainland of Shetland covering approximately 2 square miles. With rugged scenery and an abundance of wildlife and fauna the Skerries are a unique group of islands and well worth a visit. The local residents are very welcoming to visitors to their islands.

Out Skerries

Cruise ships will need to anchor off the islands and visitors sent ashore by launch or small boat. The harbour is reasonably sheltered in all but Northerly winds. Landing facilities are basic but prior notification will ensure that local residents can be on hand to help.

More detailed information about the harbour can be found here.
