Secure your bin
There are a number of ways to keep your bin secure during high winds.
On collection day, if you opt to tether your bin it must in in a way that can be released and resecured quickly, if not then your bin may not be emptied.
Effective tethering options include:
- bin enclosures and tethering points
- bin handle brackets
- bin lid straps
- bungee cords
- gate latches
- modified bruck boxes

If the weather is bad and your recycling bin will last until the next collection, consider not presenting it.
