Charging for Services
Assessments are free of charge. There is currently no charge for Home Care services. Certain other services may require some financial contribution depending on your personal circumstances and income. Any information you provide regarding your financial circumstances will be treated in the strictest confidence.
You will be fully informed about any and all charges before you are offered services.
Your social worker will also inform you of any benefits to which you may be entitled.
If you are on a low income you may qualify for a reduction in charges or free services.
Social Care is responsible for the provision of public funding for residential and nursing home care. If you are assessed as in need of such care, a financial assessment will be required. For further details please visit our pages on Older People.

These include sheltered and supported accommodation for older people and people with disabilities, the Independent Living Project for people with learning disabilities and Annsbrae House for people with mental health problems.
