Foster Carers
Foster carers come from as many different backgrounds as the children in their care.
All kinds of people make good foster carers, respite carers and shared carers. You do not need to be married, employed, own a rambling mansion or have any special qualifications.
Some children like big and busy families, while others thrive better in a one-to-one situation. Foster carers can be single, separated or living with a partner as well as married. Some have grown-up children, some have none and some have a houseful. While some young people like space and privacy, others prefer to live closely and share.
What does matter is your capacity to care.
