Rural Care Centres
The rural care centres in Shetland are run by Shetland Islands Council, with the exception of the Walter and Joan Gray Home in Scalloway, which is run by the Church of Scotland.
All applications for long or short term residential care are made through Social Care Services. A single shared assessment will ensure that services provided will be appropriate to your needs and that you are fully involved in making decisions about your care. Leaflets are available for the following care centres from the Education and Social Care Department.
